OAKLAND, CA (April 21, 2025) – Friday night, a devastating hit-and-run crash on 78th Avenue and International Boulevard killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:21 p.m. on 78th Avenue and International Boulevard.

According to the Oakland Police Department, an eastbound vehicle struck a 44-year-old male bicyclist who was crossing the roadway. Then, the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, responders rushed the bicyclist to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
