1 Dead in Crestline Motorcycle Accident near State Route 138 and State Route 18

CRESTLINE, CA (May 27, 2026) – Tuesday afternoon, a rider died in a devastating motorcycle crash near State Route 138 and State Route 18.

The incident involving a Ford Mustang and a motorcycle happened at about 3:49 p.m. near the junction of State Route 138 and State Route 18.

Initial California Highway Patrol logs initially misidentified the vehicle involved as a Ferrari, but it was later confirmed to be a white Ford Mustang GT.

CHP dispatch notes indicated the motorcycle rider was reportedly run over and possibly deceased, and that a caller to the scene was described as “hysterical” during the emergency call.

At about 4:01 p.m., CHP requested the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office. By 4:16 p.m., the roadway was closed to allow investigators to conduct measurements.

A black sport-style motorcycle was found on its side across the double-yellow lines with significant damage, and debris was scattered across the roadway, blocking lanes.

No additional details about the rider, the Mustang driver, or the cause of the crash were immediately available. The investigation remains ongoing.
