2 Dead in Kings County Motorcycle Accident on State Route 43 and Lansing Avenue

KINGS COUNTY, CA (June 7, 2026) – Friday night, a devastating motorcycle crash on State Route 43 and Lansing Avenue killed two people.

The incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. on State Route 43 just south of Lansing Avenue.

According to investigators, a rider and passenger on a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle were traveling northbound when the crash occurred.

Officials said the driver of a 2014 Ram 1500 was traveling southbound on Highway 43 and attempted to pass a semi-truck by entering the northbound lane. The Ram then collided head-on with the motorcycle in the northbound lane.

When emergency crews arrived, the Ram driver was trapped inside the vehicle and suffered moderate injuries.

The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was transported to a hospital but later died from their injuries.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
