1 Dead in Lewis County Motorcycle Accident on State Route 7 near Elbe

LEWIS COUNTY, WA (April 23, 2026) – Monday afternoon, Olivia Waller died in a devastating motorcycle crash on State Route 7 near Elbe.

The incident happened just before 2:52 p.m. on State Route 7 near Elbe.

A 32-year-old woman from Mineral was driving a blue Kia Spectra on State Route 7 near Elbe when she slowed to a stop, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Authorities said Olivia A. Waller, 63, of Tacoma, was riding a motorcycle behind the car and collided with it. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kia driver was not injured.

Troopers said drugs or alcohol are believed to have been involved, and charges are pending. The Kia driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and later released from jail pending further investigation, according to Trooper Dakota Russell.

Investigators said they are still working to determine which driver was at fault.
