SURPRISE, AZ (February 4, 2026) – Late Monday night, a motorcyclist died in a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Loop 303 near Northern Avenue.

The incident happened just before 11:00 p.m. on the southbound lanes of Loop 303 near Northern Avenue.

Troopers said a motorcyclist was speeding when the rider lost control and rear-ended a Chevrolet. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. The motorcyclist’s name has not been released.

Two other vehicles were involved, though authorities did not say how they were involved or if anyone else was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

The freeway was closed overnight and reopened early Tuesday morning.
