PHOENIX, AZ (March 19, 2026) – Tuesday night, a man died in a devastating pedestrian crash near 35th Avenue and Thomas Road.

The incident happened at about 8:00 p.m. near 35th Avenue and Thomas Road.

Officers arrived and found a man in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead by emergency responders.

Police said the driver of the first vehicle remained at the scene. Investigators believe the man was then struck by two additional vehicles that did not stop.

Authorities said the man had been crossing northbound across Thomas Road outside a crosswalk when he was hit.
