GARDENA, CA (September 4, 2025) – Tuesday morning, a man died in a devastating pedestrian crash on 731 W 182nd Street.

The incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. on 731 W 182nd Street.

Metro said the victim was lying unconscious in the turnaround area of the Harbor Gateway Transit Center when he was struck.

According to reports, passengers alerted the bus driver that he had run over the man.

“The Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department responded immediately to the scene and confirmed the pedestrian was deceased,” Metro said in a statement. “Metro extends its heartfelt condolences to the pedestrian’s family.”

The agency added that it is working closely with LAPD as the investigation continues.
