1 Dead in Sunnyvale Pedestrian Accident on 900 W Cardinal Drive

SUNNYVALE, CA (February 4, 2025) – Sunday afternoon, a woman died after a devastating pedestrian crash on 900 W Cardinal Drive.

The incident happened just before 4:49 p.m. in the 900 block of Cardinal Drive.

Investigators said speed and intoxication do not appear to be factors.

Fire personnel freed the victim and attempted life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Reports said that a woman died after being trapped under a recreational vehicle (RV). The crash happened while she was helping the RV driver raise the vehicle on leveling blocks in a driveway.

The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating. Witnesses can contact Investigator D. Larks at (408) 730-7110.
