1 Dead in Victorville Pedestrian Accident on El Evado Road and Dos Palmas Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (February 9, 2026) – Saturday night, a person died in a devastating pedestrian crash on El Evado Road and Dos Palmas Road.

The crash happened at around 7:17 p.m. on El Evado Road, north of Dos Palmas Road.

Emergency crews arrived to find two pedestrians down in the roadway. A gold 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee involved in the crash was stopped along the shoulder in the southbound lane.

The SUV had visible damage to the front passenger side, including a dented fender and possible bumper impact. San Bernardino County Fire initially requested two ambulances, though one was later canceled.

One pedestrian was taken to a hospital, while the other was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the age or gender of the deceased. A walker with a small basket attachment was found in the roadway near where the body was covered.

El Evado Road was closed in both directions between Dos Palmas Road and Cholame Road as San Bernardino County Public Works set up a hard closure. CHP’s Victorville Station is investigating the crash. No additional details about the second pedestrian or the driver have been released.
