BRAZOS COUNTY, TX (February 17, 2026) – Saturday afternoon, a child died in a devastating pedestrian crash on FM 2775 in Wixon Valley.

The incident happened at about 3:00 p.m. on a residential street off FM 2776 in the Wixon Valley area, deputies confirm.

Deputies said the child was struck by a vehicle on private property and died before they arrived.

“At this time, the incident appears to be a tragic accident. The family is understandably distraught and grieving during this incredibly difficult time. The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office extends its deepest condolences to the child’s family and loved ones,” said Deputy Nathan Dennis, a spokesperson for the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office.
