MECCA, CA (October 12, 2025) – Friday night, a devastating pedestrian crash on Grapefruit Boulevard near 66th Avenue Bypass killed 1.

The incident happened at 6:30 p.m. on Grapefruit Boulevard near the 66th Avenue Bypass.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV whose driver fled the scene, according to the CHP.
