HARRIS COUNTY, TX (April 15, 2025) – Monday night, a devastating pedestrian crash on Interstate 45 near FM 1960 killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 10:00 p.m. on Interstate 45 near FM 1960.

A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the freeway, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Sergeant B. Bondurant said a Chevy Tahoe was heading southbound, merging onto I-45 near FM 1960, when its front end hit an adult Hispanic man who was crossing the road. The female driver immediately turned around and called 911.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. Authorities confirmed that the driver and her adult son, who was also in the vehicle, were not injured.
