1 Dead in Aurora Pedestrian Accident on N Himalaya Road and E 64th Street

AURORA, CO (July 2, 2025) – Sunday night, a man died in a devastating pedestrian crash on N Himalaya Road and E 64th Street.

The incident happened at about 9:41 p.m. on North Himalaya Road and East 64th Avenue in Aurora.

According to the department’s initial investigation, three men were walking southbound along the shoulder of the road when two of them were struck from behind by a woman driving a Mazda sedan.

Both injured men were transported to the hospital, where one was later pronounced dead. The other remains hospitalized with serious injuries. The third pedestrian was not hurt. The identities of the victims and the driver have not been released.

Authorities confirmed that both the third pedestrian and the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No arrests have been made, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor at this time.

The investigation remains ongoing. Traffic investigators plan to reconstruct the crash to determine if any aggravating factors were involved and whether charges should be filed.

The department noted this marks Aurora’s 18th fatal crash of the year.
