1 Dead in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Place and W Wardlow Road

LONG BEACH, CA (April 6, 2026) – Saturday night, a man died in a devastating pedestrian crash on Pacific Place and W Wardlow Road.

The incident at around 7:55 p.m. on Pacific Place and West Wardlow Road.

Officers found a pedestrian in the roadway, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Investigators said a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling southbound on Pacific Place when it struck the man, who was walking outside a marked crosswalk.

Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities do not believe speed, distraction, or impairment were factors.
