SOUTH SACRAMENTO, CA (February 28, 2026) – Friday morning, a woman using a walker died in a devastating pedestrian crash on Power Inn Road and Calvine Road.

The incident just after 5:40 a.m. on Power Inn Road and Calvine Road.

Officers said the pedestrian was crossing outside a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle. The woman, believed to be in her 50s or 60s, was using a walker, which was seen along the roadway after the crash.

The driver remained at the scene and was not identified.

According to the California Highway Patrol, speed, drugs, and alcohol do not appear to be factors. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene. The roadway reopened before 7 a.m.
