CORONA, CA (September 20, 2026) – Friday night, a man died in a devastating pedestrian crash on Riverside Freeway and Promenade Avenue.

The incident happened at 10:28 p.m. on Riverside Freeway and Promenade Avenue.

A man was killed after leaving his disabled truck and being struck by two vehicles.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to reports of a vehicle blocking the No. 2 lane of the eastbound FasTrak lanes west of Promenade Avenue.

According to reports, the man left his disabled truck and ran to the No. 1 lane of the main freeway lanes, where he was struck by a Honda HR-V. He was then also run over by a Honda Civic, according to the report.

CHP temporarily closed all eastbound lanes while officers investigated the crash.
