1 Dead in Phoenix Auto Accident on Interstate 17 and Loop 303

PHOENIX, AZ (March 29, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, a devastating rollover crash on Interstate 17 and Loop 303 killed 1 person.

The crash happened just before 2 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 17, just south of Loop 303. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a car first strikes the center barrier before rolling over.

Officers confirmed that two people were inside the car. Also, no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Furthermore, the southbound lanes were shut down during the investigation, and traffic was rerouted onto the 303.

Then, all lanes were reopened just before 5:00 p.m.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
