THORNTON, CO (November 2, 2025) – Wednesday night, a 39-year-old man died in a devastating scooter crash near W 88th Avenue and Lipan Street.

The incident occurred at around 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of W 88th Avenue and Lipan Street.

A 39-year-old man on an electric scooter died after being hit by a Dodge Caravan at West 88th Avenue and Lipan Street, according to Thornton Police.

Investigators said the scooter rider was traveling west when the eastbound Caravan, driven by a 22-year-old man, turned onto Lipan and struck him. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His name has not been released.

The driver was not injured and remained at the scene.

Police are still investigating and ask anyone who witnessed the crash to call the Thornton Police tip line at 720-977-5069.
