LONGMONT, CA (April 29, 2026) – Saturday, a woman died in a devastating scooter crash on 23rd Avenue and Main Street.

The incident happened on 23rd Avenue and Main Street.

Authorities said a woman was crossing Main Street in the south crosswalk, heading east, when she was struck by a pickup truck making a left turn onto southbound Main Street. The driver, a 67-year-old woman, hit the victim at a low speed, knocking her off a scooter.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time, though that could change depending on the findings.

Southbound Main Street was closed for about five hours on Saturday.
