1 Person Dead in Lindsay Traffic Accident on Highway 137 and Road 196

LINDSAY, CA (December 10, 2025) – Monday night, a devastating semi truck crash on Highway 137 and Road 196 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 137 and Road 196.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an eastbound semi-truck collided with a southbound white sedan for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the semi to crash into a tree, roll over, and spill corrosive material.

Moreover, officers confirmed that one occupant of the sedan died in the crash. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the semi with major injuries and a juvenile occupant of the sedan to a hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, the crash closed Highway 137 between Highway 99 and Highway 65.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
