FAIRFIELD, CA (October 15, 2025) – Early Tuesday morning, a person died in a devastating single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 and Manuel Campos Parkway.

The incident involving a single vehicle happened at about 2:15 a.m. on the eastbound Interstate 80 and Manuel Campos Parkway.

A woman between 20 and 25 years old was killed in the crash that blocked multiple lanes and caused major traffic delays on eastbound I-80, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Solano division.

CHP officials said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger of similar age suffered major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The right lanes of eastbound I-80 remain closed as crews investigate and clear the wreckage. Authorities have not said when the lanes will reopen and are urging drivers to expect delays or take alternate routes.

It is not yet known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
