NORTH HILLS, CA (April 21, 2025) – Sunday morning, a devastating two-vehicle crash on 405 Freeway and Nordhoff Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway at the Nordhoff Street offramp.

The California Highway Patrol said that the crash involved a red van and a white sedan.

Authorities confirmed that one person died in the crash.

The incident closed the southbound lanes of the freeway at the Nordhoff Street offramp but has long since reopened.

Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
