RUSK COUNTY, TX (January 13, 2026) – Sunday afternoon, a devastating wrong-way crash on State Highway 315 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:00 p.m. on State Highway 315.

DPS said that a vehicle traveling on the wrong side collided with an 18-wheeler that was driving in the oncoming lane.

Officers confirmed that the wrong-way driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics transported the driver of the 18-wheeler to Tyler Hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
