Dicklous Mathwai Injured in I-40 Deadly Crash

Big Rig Driver Dead in Alanreed Rear-End Crash

Gray, CO (March 22, 2026) – Dicklous Mathwai, a 62-year-old big rig driver from Riverside, California, was injured in an I-40 deadly crash early Saturday morning.

It was before 3 a.m. when the 2-big rig crash happened in Alanreed.

According to the authorities, both big rigs were eastbound when one of them, a 2015 Volvo semi, driven by Eldar Mamedov, 25, of Louisville, Kentucky, failed to control its speed and rear-ended the 2018 Freightliner.

Troopers said Mamedov was not wearing his seatbelt properly.

He was thrown from his vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene.

The 2018 Freightliner’s driver, Dicklous Mathwai, sustained minor injuries and was transported.

Officers are still investigating.
