Police Officer Involved in Houston Dirt Bike Accident on South Post Oak and W Airport

HOUSTON, TX (June 30, 2025) – Saturday night, a dirt bike rider suffered injuries in an alarming vehicle crash on South Post Oak and W Airport.

The incident involving a Houston police officer happened at about 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of South Post Oak and West Airport.

Police said the crash occurred as the officer attempted to turn from South Post Oak onto West Airport.

According to officials, after the collision, the officer exited his vehicle and found the dirt bike rider in the bushes with an injured ankle. The officer applied a tourniquet to the rider’s leg before medics arrived.

The dirt bike rider, who was conscious, was transported to the hospital. The officer was not hurt.

Authorities said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
