4 People Hospitalized in Cathedral City Traffic Accident near Date Palm Drive and Ramon Road

CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (May 7, 2026) – Wednesday morning, a disastrous 2-vehicle crash near Date Palm Drive and Ramon Road injured four people.

The incident happened at around 4:00 a.m. near Date Palm Drive and Ramon Road.

According to Cathedral City Police Traffic Sergeant Daniel Ames, a BMW collided with a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck.

Moreover, responders transported one occupant of the pickup and three occupants of the BMW to a hospital, with two people suffering serious injuries and two others with concussions.

Furthermore, officers said that the crash may have involved street racing.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Cathedral City Police continued investigating the crash.
