52-Year-Old Woman Airlifted after Disastrous 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 50 and Route H [Moniteau County, MO]

Injuries Reported in Moniteau County Auto Accident on Highway 50 and Route H

MONITEAU COUNTY, MO (July 9, 2026) – Tuesday night, a 52-year-old woman was airlifted after a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on Highway 50 and Route H.

The incident happened at about 8:55 p.m. on westbound Highway 50 and Route H.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 52-year-old California, Missouri, woman was critically injured in a crash involving a semi-truck on Highway 50.

Investigators said a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser was traveling westbound when a 2026 Peterbilt 579 attempted to pass on the left. As the PT Cruiser made a left turn, the semi-truck collided with the vehicle.

The woman driving the Chrysler sustained critical injuries and was airlifted by MU Air to University Hospital.

Troopers said the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
