Driver Flees after Joplin Auto Accident on Junge Boulevard

JOPLIN, MO (May 10, 2026) – Saturday afternoon, a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on Junge Boulevard led to injuries.

The crash involving two vehicles happened just after 2:15 p.m. on Junge Boulevard (W 13th), and Schifferdecker alerted E-911.

Officials said a T-bone rollover crash occurred at the intersection near Joplin Fire Department Station 2, with firefighters arriving immediately due to the station’s proximity.
Responders from the Joplin Police Department and METS Ambulance also arrived at the scene. Authorities said one of the drivers fled on foot, leaving behind a juvenile passenger.

All people involved were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the female driver who fled is known to investigators. She is described as being in her 30s, wearing a red-and-white striped shirt, and was last seen heading west from the intersection. Family members were notified and responded to the crash scene.
