Injuries Reported in Pilot Knob Auto Accident on Missouri Highway 21 and Missouri Highway 221

PILOT KNOB, MO (July 30, 2026) – Saturday night, 4 people sustained injuries in a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on Missouri Highway 21 and Missouri Highway 221.

The crash involving two vehicles happened at around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Missouri Highway 21 and Missouri Highway 221 in Iron County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the rear-end crash involved a 1996 Dodge Ram and a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo.

Reports said the southbound Dodge Ram was stopped in traffic while preparing to make a left turn when it was struck from behind by the southbound Chevrolet Aveo.

The 20-year-old driver of the Dodge and a 16-year-old passenger were transported by ambulance to Iron County Medical Center with minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old driver of the Chevrolet, along with a 3-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl who were passengers in the vehicle, also sustained minor injuries. They were transported by fire department personnel to Iron County Medical Center.

The Dodge Ram sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene, while the Chevrolet Aveo was totaled and removed by a family member.
