2 People Hurt in Kansas City Traffic Accident on US Highway 50 near Powell Gardens

KANSAS CITY, MO (March 17, 2026) – Sunday morning, a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on US Highway 50 near Powell Gardens injured two people.

The incident happened at around 3:15 a.m. on US Highway 50 near Powell Gardens.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound Buick SUV struck a Ford F-350 that was pulling a trailer. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Buick to crash into an embankment, rollover and erupt into flames.

Moreover, responders transported two occupants of the Buick to a hospital with moderate to serious injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the MSHP continued investigating the crash.
