OVALO, TX (December 25, 2205) – Early Tuesday morning, a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on US Highway 83 injured 2 people.

The incident involving two vehicles happened just before 6:00 a.m. on US Highway 83.

One person died, and another was injured following a crash along U.S. Highway 64/County Road 5500, authorities said.

Eastbound traffic was shut down, while westbound traffic was reduced to one lane as New Mexico State Police investigated. As of 6:40 p.m., the roadway had reopened, and traffic was flowing normally.
