Injuries Reported in Florence Multi-Vehicle Accident on Florence Avenue and Hooper Avenue

FLORENCE, CA (March 29, 2026) – Wednesday, a person sustained injuries in a disastrous 3-vehicle crash on Florence Avenue and Hooper Avenue.

The incident happened at around 8:38 a.m. on Florence Avenue and Hooper Avenue.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies and CHP officers responded to a vehicle-into-structure crash at a storefront.

Witnesses said a black SUV had been parked outside when its occupants were seen inhaling nitrous oxide from balloons. The vehicle then suddenly reversed into the building, shattering the entrance and pinning a customer against a refrigerator.

Bystanders reportedly yelled at the driver to move forward, allowing the victim to be freed. The suspect then fled the scene, allegedly tossing nitrous oxide tanks from the vehicle while driving away.

The victim was taken to a hospital, though their condition was not immediately known.

Authorities said surveillance footage was not available at the time due to access issues. The investigation is ongoing.
