ARCATA, CA (August 13, 2026) – Wednesday morning, a disastrous 3-vehicle crash on Old Arcata Road near Halvorsen Creek Road led to injuries.

The crash involving three vehicles happened at about 9:56 a.m. on Old Arcata Road near Halvorsen Creek Road.

Emergency crews responded to a reported crash with debris scattered across the roadway and at least one vehicle, a white Dodge Ram pickup, partially blocking the road.

Scanner traffic indicated the initial caller was unable to provide complete information about the vehicles or answer dispatch questions.

The California Highway Patrol transferred another call about the crash to Arcata Fire, while Arcata Police Department officers were also dispatched. Shortly after 10 a.m., APD reported an open 911 line from the scene with no one speaking.

First responders reported minor to moderate injuries. An additional ambulance was requested around 10:18 a.m. as the incident response continued.
