Injuries Reported in Phoenix Bicycle Accident on 19th Street and Osborn Road

PHOENIX, AZ (October 22, 2025) – Sunday afternoon, William Gutierrez Castaneda sustained injuries in a disastrous bicycle crash on 19th Street and Osborn Road.

The incident happened at about 3:04 p.m. on 19th Street and Osborn Road in Phoenix, said police spokesperson Sgt. Jen Zak.

William Gutierrez Castaneda, 43, was found with life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Police said the vehicle that struck him fled before officers arrived. Preliminary findings indicate the driver of a white Tesla was speeding westbound and failed to stop, hitting Castaneda as he crossed northbound in a marked crosswalk.
