GARBERVILLE, CA (July 16, 2026) – Sunday night, a person sustained injuries in a disastrous bicycle crash on Redwood Drive near Alderpoint Road.

The incident involving a bicycle and a gray Toyota RAV4 happened at around 6:53 p.m. on Redwood Drive near Alderpoint Road.

Initial reports indicated a vehicle struck a bicyclist on Redwood Drive, leaving the cyclist down in the roadway.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene after scanner traffic indicated the bicyclist had sustained significant injuries. Traffic was halted in the area while emergency personnel worked at the scene and California Highway Patrol officers responded.

The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.

By approximately 7:37 p.m., CHP reported that the roadway had been cleared and units were concluding their on-scene investigation. At 7:44 p.m., CHP upgraded the incident from a traffic collision response to a major-injury collision.
