Injuries Reported in San Francisco Auto Accident near Lombard Street and Broderick Street

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 20, 2025) – Tuesday morning, a disastrous car crash near Lombard Street and Broderick Street injured 2 people.

The incident involving a pickup truck happened at around 6:20 a.m. near Lombard Street and Broderick Street.

The San Francisco Fire Department said the pickup driver and a person inside the inn were hurt, though both injuries were described as moderate. Fire crews believe the driver may have been traveling at speeds close to 70 mph after coming off the Golden Gate Bridge, cutting through an intersection before hitting two parked cars. One of those cars was destroyed.

The driver’s wife said he is stable and recovering at the hospital.

The impact caused the pickup to spin and crash into the side of the inn at a sharp angle, carving a large hole in the building. The crash exposed one of the rooms, where a mattress had been thrown onto its side.

Neighbors noted this is the third incident in about five years where a driver has slammed into a building in the area.

A surveillance footage from a nearby gas station showed the truck speeding across the property moments before the crash.

Fire officials said they plan to use the incident as a training opportunity for handling challenging vehicle extrications in tight or unusual spaces.
