1 Person Arrested in San Diego Auto Accident on Garnet Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 8, 2026) – Friday night, a disastrous DUI crash on Garnet Avenue injured one person.

The incident started at around 7:30 p.m. when a 2014 Mercedes CLA250 fled the scene after officers received reports of a man allegedly smoking narcotics inside a vehicle.

According to reports, a pursuit initiated by the police ended when the suspect vehicle collided with a 2020 Hyundai Veloster.

Furthermore, officers arrested the 39-year-old male driver of the Mercedes on suspicion of felony DUI, causing bodily injury, and felony evading.
