ST FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO (December 4, 2025) – Monday afternoon, a disastrous head-on crash on Missouri Highway 8 near Payne Lane injured two people.

The incident happened at around 3:51 p.m. on Missouri Highway 8 near Payne Lane.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound 2005 Chevrolet 1500 crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound 2024 Chevrolet Equinox.

Moreover, responders transported the 18-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet 1500 and the 41-year-old male driver of the Equinox to Parkland Health Center with moderate injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
