The incident happened just before 3:30 a.m. near 27th Avenue and Southern Avenue.

Police said a male pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash.

Officers arrived and found the man in critical condition. Phoenix Fire transported him to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
