1 Person Arrested in Columbia Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 70

COLUMBIA, MO (April 5, 2026) – Friday afternoon, a disastrous multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 injured seven people.

The incident happened at around 5:45 p.m. on Interstate 70.

According to reports, an eastbound 2021 Ram 3500 struck a 2017 GMC Acadia and a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta.

Moreover, responders transported a 26-year-old male passenger of the Ram with serious injuries, three occupants of the GMC, a 14-year-old girl with minor injuries, a 15-year-old boy with serious injuries, and a 15-year-old girl with minor injuries to University Hospital for treatment.

Then, paramedics transported an 80-year-old female passenger of the Volkswagen with serious injuries, and the female driver of the Volkswagen to University Hospital for treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
