TUCSON, AZ (August 17, 2025) – Sunday, a disastrous multi-vehicle crash on Sahuarita Road near Wilmot Road injured 2 people.

The incident happened on east Sahuarita Road near south Wilmot Road.

Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies first responded to a hit-and-run call but determined that one vehicle had struck at least one other car before crashing into a second.

Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The roadway is closed in both directions with no estimated time of reopening. Deputies are asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
