SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (December 24, 2023) – Thursday night, a disastrous pedestrian accident on San Pedro Street and 88th Street injured 1 person.

The incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of San Pedro Street and 88th Street, said the Los Angeles County Health Services.

When paramedics arrived, they took the woman to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, where she is currently intubated and sedated.

Officers described her as a “5-feet-3-inch Latino woman, possibly 20 to 30 years old, with brown eyes, brown hair and weighing 122 pounds.” They added that there was a scar on the right side of her chest.

Also, the officials are asking for the public’s help to identify the victim.

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the woman or her identity to contact Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance at 424-306-6990.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
