2 Drivers Involved in Houston Pedestrian Accident on 610 West Loop

HOUSTON, TX (April 17, 2025) – Wednesday, a 30-year-old man was hurt in a disastrous pedestrian crash on 610 West Loop.

The incident happened on the northbound side of 610 West Loop.

Officials say two vehicles struck a 30-year-old man on the northbound side of the freeway during an ongoing investigation.

According to HPD, witnesses reported the man was “crawling on his hands and knees” across the main lanes. 

One driver said he tried to avoid what he thought was debris but struck the man. A second truck then hit the man shortly after.

Both drivers stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Northbound lanes on West Loop at Beechnut remained closed until about 8 a.m. as the investigation continued.
