Injuries Reported in Victorville Pedestrian Accident on Hesperia Road and Jasmine Street

VICTORVILLE, CA (August 2, 2026) – Sunday night, a man in a wheelchair was hospitalized after a disastrous pedestrian crash on Hesperia Road and Jasmine Street.

The incident happened at around 9:10 p.m. on Hesperia Road, south of Jasmine Street.

According to reports, a Tesla struck a man in a wheelchair crossing a busy roadway.

Firefighters from the Victorville Fire Department and deputies with the Victorville Police Department responded to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash.

Emergency crews found the man in the roadway and a gray 2023 Tesla Model Y stopped in the southbound lanes of Hesperia Road.

According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Gloria Orejel, the man was awake and breathing when first responders arrived. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The Tesla sustained damage to the center of its hood, consistent with the point of impact. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
