Injuries Reported in Newhall Pedestrian Accident on Railroad Avenue near 6th Street

NEWHALL, CA (March 20, 2025) – Tuesday night, a disastrous pedestrian crash on Railroad Avenue near 6th Street injured 1.

The incident happened at about 11:00 p.m. on Railroad Avenue near 6th Street in Newhall, said Sgt. Mark Perkins, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital in unknown condition, according to officials. 

This stretch of Railroad Avenue has seen multiple crashes in recent months. On March 1, a person was killed in a DUI-related crash at Railroad and Market Street. On January 27, a DUI driver crashed into a power pole and the back of KHTS Radio. Earlier in January, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle outside the Newhall Metrolink Station.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
