2 People Hospitalized in Yuma County Pedestrian Accident on South Avenue 3E and East County 18 1/2 Street

YUMA COUNTY, AZ (February 11, 2026) – Monday morning, a disastrous pedestrian crash on South Avenue 3E and East County 18 1/2 Street injured two people.

The incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. on South Avenue 3E and East County 18 1/2 Street.

According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, a westbound pickup truck veered into the eastbound lanes and struck two parked vehicles and two people standing outside their vehicles.

Moreover, responders airlifted the two pedestrians to a Phoenix area hospital with serious injuries.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot after the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office continued investigating the crash.
