Emergency Crews Respond to Del Norte County Quad Accident on Gasquet Mountain Road

DEL NORTE COUNTY, CA (December 2, 2025) – Monday afternoon, a disastrous quad crash on Gasquet Mountain Road left a man unresponsive.

The incident happened just before 4:51 p.m. on Gasquet Mountain Road, accessed via Forest Route 17N49 off Highway 199.

A caller at the scene provided coordinates, which the Del Norte Sheriff’s Office passed along to responders. Dispatch notes showed the location appeared as an unnamed road off Wimer Road.

Gasquet Fire and medical crews were sent out just before 5 p.m., and CHP units followed shortly after. By 5:19 p.m., officers reported they had arrived.

Scanner traffic indicated the rider had no pulse and wasn’t breathing on their own when crews reached them, prompting immediate life-saving efforts.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
