7 People Hurt in Monterey Park Traffic Accident on 10 Freeway and S Garfield Avenue

MONTEREY PARK, CA (September 30, 2025) – Sunday morning, a disastrous rollover crash on 10 Freeway and S Garfield Avenue injured seven people.

The incident happened at around 5:50 a.m. on the 10 Freeway and S Garfield Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a grey Kia and a white Mazda. Then, the force of the crash pushed one of the vehicles to roll over.

Moreover, responders rushed four people to a hospital with critical injuries. Then, officers confirmed that two people sustained minor injuries and a seventh patient refused further treatment at the scene.

Furthermore, the crash closed all eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
