Injuries Reported in Barstow Auto Accident on Highway 58 near Lenwood Road

BARSTOW, CA (August 10, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a disastrous rollover crash on Highway 58 near Lenwood Road injured four people.

The incident happened at around 1:46 p.m. on westbound Highway 58, between Main Street and Lenwood Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle crashed and rolled over for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash ejected multiple occupants of the vehicle into the roadway.

Moreover, a CHP helicopter transported one patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, while a Mercy Air helicopter and two Reach Air Medical helicopters transported three other patients to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Authorities said that a total of four people sustained major injuries in the crash.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that other patients were transported to a hospital via ground ambulance.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
