2 People Hospitalized in Austin Auto Accident on Highway 290 near Christiansen Road

AUSTIN, TX (November 16, 2025) – Thursday night, a disastrous school bus crash on Highway 290 near Christiansen Road injured two people.

The incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. on Highway 290 near Christiansen Road.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Toyota collided with a westbound school bus-turned-RV.

Moreover, responders transported a child to a hospital with non-severe injuries. Also, responders transported the driver of the Toyota to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the DPS continued investigating the crash.
